I grew up in the hills of Shillong, where food was ceremony and every night ended with a song. I moved to Bangalore in 2017 to teach music, but found myself aching for my grandmother’s bamboo shoot stew. During the pandemic, I began hosting intimate dinners from my rooftop kitchen—and the response was humbling. I now share Khasi traditions through food, folklore, and tunes—with joy, not jargon.
